65 Second Challenge

Every 65 seconds, somebody in America develops Alzheimer’s disease.


The 65 Second Challenge was created to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and to raise money to End Alzheimer’s.

Thank you for taking the 65 Second Challenge – together, we can EndAlz!


Here’s how to take the 65 Second Challenge:

  • Select which challenge you want to take. There is a list to choose from below or you can create your own! You have 24 hours to take the challenge.
  • Record a video of you taking the challenge. Let your viewers know you are taking the 65 second challenge to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and it’s called the 65 second challenge because every 65 seconds, somebody in America develops Alzheimer’s.
  • Upload your video to your favorite social media outlets. Tag at least 3 of your friends and challenge them to accept the 65 Second Challenge. Be sure to hashtag it so we can follow along! #65SecondChallenge #EndAlz
  • Make a donation to EndAlz.org

Here is a list of 65 Second Challenges you can choose from 

or you can create your own; just make it fun and keep it clean!


  • The tebahplA (Alphabet) Challenge – Recite the alphabet, backwards in 65 seconds!
  • Memorize a Deck of Cards Challenge – Shuffle a deck of cards and memorize the new order. You have 65 minutes to memorize the new order. Then, recite the new order in 65 seconds. 
  • Movie  Challenge – Reenact a 65 second scene from your favorite movie or play.
  • Rubik's Cube Challenge – Scramble a standard 3x3 Rubik’s Cube and solve it in 65 seconds. If you’re a pro, do it one-handed. Switching the stickers doesn't count! 
  • 400 Meter Challenge – Run 400 meters in 65 seconds, most tracks are 400 meters. 400 meters is also just shy of a quarter of a mile – .248 miles. 
  • Basketball Challenge – Make 10 free throws or baskets in 65 seconds.
  • Keepie Uppie Challenge – Juggle a soccer ball for 65 seconds using your feet, lower legs, knees, and chest without letting the ball hit the ground.
  • Hula Hoop Challenge – Hula Hoop for 65 seconds without dropping the hoop!
  • Headstand Challenge – Stand on your head for 65 seconds without falling over.
  • The Jump Rope Challenge – Jump rope for 65 seconds without messing up!
  • The Selfie Challenge – Take a selfie with 5 random strangers in 65 seconds.
  • The High-Five Challenge – High five at least 10 people in 65 seconds.
  • Comedy Challenge – You have 65 seconds to make a complete stranger laugh! Go!
  • The Lemon Challenge – Eat a whole lemon in 65 seconds – pucker up!
  • The Saltine Cracker Challenge – Eat 6 saltine crackers in 65 seconds – sounds easy, right? Eat them one at a time without drinking anything.

FAQ's

Q: Does someone have to challenge me in order to take the 65 Second Challenge?

  • NO! If you want to help raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease - consider yourself challenged! Take the 65 Second Challenge and challenge your friends and family to do the same!

Q: Do I have to donate if I take the challenge?

  • Not necessarily. You are helping raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease by taking the 65 Second Challenge and sharing with your friends; we appreciate your support. However, making a donation will help fund our mission to advance research in Alzheimer's disease, continue to raise awareness, and be a resource for those currently living with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers.
